Hey everyone!
Happy Friday and thanks for reading :)
Shorter one today because, respectfully, nobody needs a 1,200-word job drop before the long weekend.
A few good roles popped up: Tesla Energy, AWS Data Services, xAI, Visa, Zipline, Rippling, and a couple smaller ones that are actually worth opening.
Let's get into it!
TODAY'S DROP
10 roles
5 new grad / early-career
5 internships
9 salary-listed
Best companies: Tesla, AWS, xAI, Visa, Zipline
APPLY FIRST
Level: Internship
Location: Palo Alto, CA / On Site
Pay: $20-$50/hr
Why first: This is Tesla Energy, the Powerwall and Megapack side of Tesla. The role is distributed systems software, which is a pretty nice combo if you want Tesla on the resume without only fighting for the car/autopilot roles.
2. Amazon Web Services (AWS) - Software Development Engineer Intern, AWS Data Services - Fall 2026 (US)
Level: Internship
Location: Seattle, WA / On Site
Pay: $110,500-$160,000/yr listed
Why first: AWS Data Services is the database/data-systems corner of AWS, so think less "random intern project" and more the stuff companies build on top of. The posting asks for one general-purpose language plus data structures/OOP basics, which is refreshingly normal.
Level: Early career / full-time
Location: Palo Alto, CA / On Site
Pay: $150,000-$350,000/yr
Why first: xAI is building Grok, API products, and a lot of very expensive infrastructure. This one is not labeled as a student role, but the requirements are mostly fundamentals, clean code, and learning fast. Worth opening if you have serious projects and can talk through them well.
NEW GRAD / EARLY CAREER
Visa - Software Engineer - Visa is payments at massive scale. This one says bachelor's degree or 6 months to 2 years of experience, which is exactly the kind of early-career wording we like to see.
Applied Intuition - Software Engineer - Python - Applied Intuition builds software for autonomy and vehicle intelligence. Good fit if your projects lean Python, backend systems, dev tools, or anything near robotics/AV.
Brain Corp - Software Engineer I, SW Applications - Brain Corp makes autonomy software for robots used in stores and warehouses. The role says 0-2 years, Python/C++, and $123K listed.
CDM Smith - Entry Full Stack Developer - Not the shiniest logo today, but it is remote, full stack, and literally says 0 years experience. Sometimes that is the whole pitch.
INTERNSHIPS
Zipline - Software Engineer Intern (Fall 2026) - Drone delivery software, $54/hr, and a real product in the world. Great one if you want robotics/autonomy without needing a PhD.
Rippling - Full Stack Software Engineer Intern - Winter 2027 - Full-stack work at the HR/IT/finance platform company. They ask for previous internship or co-op experience, so this is best if you already have one solid SWE internship.
ByteDance - Software Engineer Project Intern (Security Engineering) - 2026 Start (BS/MS) - ByteDance owns TikTok, and this is a BS/MS security engineering internship with Go, Java, Python, or C++ listed. Nice fit if you like backend work and security without going full research/PhD.
APPLICATION MOVE OF THE DAY
For the bigger systems roles, put one number in your best project bullet: users, requests, files, devices, models, jobs, anything. "Built backend API" is fine. "Built backend API that handled 40K requests" is much easier to care about.
