Hey everyone!

Happy July and thanks for tuning in.

Trying a slightly different format today cause you guys are the best :)

If this makes the drop easier to skim, we will keep doing it. If it feels like too much, reply and let me know. Always helpful.

TODAY'S DROP

12 roles
2 new grad / early-career
8 internships
Best companies: ByteDance, Notion, TikTok

APPLY FIRST

Level: Internship
Location: San Jose, CA
Pay: $45-$60/hr

ByteDance owns TikTok, so this is network security SWE at massive consumer scale. The posting also mentions ML/deep learning, which makes it a nice fit if you like security and infra more than pure app work.

Level: Internship
Location: San Francisco, CA
Pay: $57-$61/hr

Notion is still one of the more fun product companies to have on a resume. This one has TypeScript, React, Python, and enough AI integration to make it worth opening early.

Level: Internship
Location: San Jose, CA
Pay: $45/hr

Trust and safety sounds unsexy until you remember it means AI safety on an app with a ridiculous amount of real-world usage. Good fit if you like messy edge cases.

NEW GRAD / EARLY CAREER

DAT Freight & Analytics - Software Engineer I
DAT is a Portland freight software/data company. Not the flashiest logo, but TypeScript/PHP on logistics data is the kind of practical work that can turn into good interview stories.

Nutanix - Member of Technical Staff 1, Core Data Path (AI Inference)
Nutanix is cloud infrastructure. This one gets into C++/Go/Java, Linux internals, distributed systems, and AI inference, which is way more interesting than the title makes it sound.

INTERNSHIPS

Etched - Infrastructure Intern
Etched is building AI hardware and the software around it. If you want C++/Rust/Python work close to chips, this is much more interesting than another dashboard internship.

Cloudflare - Threat Detection and Incident Response Intern (Summer 2026)
Cloudflare is internet/security infrastructure. This leans more incident-response than pure SWE, but the SaaS, CI/CD, operating-systems, and attacker-TTP exposure is useful if security is your lane.

KLA - Algorithm Engineer Intern
KLA is semiconductor inspection/process-control, so this is a pretty specific one: algorithms, computational physics, and ML near chip manufacturing. Best for MS/PhD students who want something more technical than web app work.

Truveta - Software Engineering Intern
Truveta works with real health-system data. The pay is not the draw here, but Java/Python/C# on healthcare data beats another random CRUD internship.

Persona AI - Teleoperation Software Engineering Internship
Persona AI is a robotics startup. This is teleoperation software with Rust, Python, and C++ around hardware. Niche, but a fun one for robotics/systems people.

1+ YEAR ROLES WORTH A LOOK

Audible - Software Development Engineer, AI/ML Engineering Team
Audible is Amazon-owned audio, and this AI/ML role pays like a serious engineering job. Not pure new grad, but worth a look if you can make a case for 1+ year equivalent experience.

Amazon - Software Development Engineer, Amazon Leo (US)
Amazon is a stretch here, but it is still Amazon. If you have internships, strong projects, or anything close to 1+ year of experience, it is worth opening.

APPLICATION MOVE OF THE DAY

If a role says 0-2 years, new grad, associate, or early career, apply even if your strongest experience is internships, projects, or research. Those keywords usually mean the company is open to early talent.
