Hey everyone!

Happy Friday and thanks for reading :)

Pretty good batch today. Twitch is hiring for its Discovery team, Sonos has a junior embedded role where coursework counts toward the experience requirement, and Aurora opened a Software Engineer I role on its data infrastructure team.

There is also a remote mainframe apprenticeship that needs zero previous mainframe experience, plus fall and winter internships at Astranis and Rippling.

Let's get into it!

TODAY'S DROP

9 roles
6 new grad / early career
3 internships
Best companies: Twitch, Sonos, Aurora, ByteDance, Astranis, Rippling

APPLY FIRST

Level: Early career (1+ year)
Location: San Francisco, onsite
Pay: $127K-$185K

Twitch's Discovery team works on the recommendations and browsing features people use to find streams. They want a year of experience plus consumer product work, so internships can get you close if you have shipped something people actually used.

Level: Junior (1+ year)
Location: Boston, hybrid
Pay: $93K-$116K

Sonos is looking for someone to work on the software that runs on its speakers. The nice part is that C/C++ coursework, internships, and co-ops all count toward the one-year requirement. Worth opening if your projects lean embedded or low-level.

Level: Early career (1+ year)
Location: Mountain View, hybrid
Pay: $116K-$174K

Aurora is building self-driving trucks, and this team owns the data pipelines behind that work. They want about a year of Python, Go, or C++ plus some exposure to Spark, Flink, or Kinesis. Great fit if you like data engineering more than frontend.

NEW GRAD / EARLY CAREER

Applied Intuition builds software for autonomous vehicles and machines. This QA role goes well beyond clicking through test cases: you would work across products, debug full-stack problems, and help engineers reproduce failures. Sunnyvale, $100K-$170K.

CyberProof will train you on mainframes from scratch. It is remote, asks for no previous mainframe experience, and starts with monitoring systems and following runbooks. Not the flashiest first job, but paid training into a skill most new grads never touch. $40K-$60K.

ByteDance, TikTok's parent company, is hiring 2027 PhD grads to work on large language models. This is a narrow one, but the compensation is hard to ignore. The role covers model training and core LLM research. San Jose, $245K-$450K.

INTERNSHIPS

Astranis builds satellites, and this intern would make internal software and analytics tools for the engineers building them. Good one if you want a Python-heavy role where you can own something from scratch. San Francisco, $29/hour.

Rippling runs payroll, IT, and finance software for companies. This is a backend internship on a product team, but they do want a previous Python internship or co-op. Seattle, winter 2027.

The World Bank's Data Lab is hiring a master's or PhD student to work on AI agents for its integrity team. A more unusual option if you have Python, LLM, or prompt engineering projects and want public-sector experience. Washington, DC.

APPLICATION MOVE OF THE DAY

Lead with the project that matches the actual team: recommendations for Twitch, C/C++ or firmware for Sonos, and data pipelines for Aurora.

Best of luck!
