Hey everyone!
Happy Thursday and thanks for reading :)
Rocket Lab has a 0-2 year software role, Southwest opened an associate role without requiring a four-year degree, and Walleye Capital is already hiring tech interns for summer 2027.
The smaller-company roles are good today too: remote health-tech work, an AI ops role at Tapcart, and a robotics internship working on satellites.
Let's get into it!
TODAY'S DROP
9 roles
6 new grad / early career
3 internships
Best companies: Rocket Lab, PayPal, Southwest, Walleye Capital
APPLY FIRST
Level: Early career (0-2 years)
Location: Pasadena, CA (on-site)
Pay: $88K-$135K/year
Why it made the list: Rocket Lab builds rockets and satellites, and this team wants C++ or Python experience in robotics, embedded systems, or motion control. School and side projects should count for a lot here, especially if you have touched ROS or real-time systems.
Level: Entry level
Location: Dallas, TX (hybrid)
Pay: $89K-$99K/year
Why it made the list: You do not see many software roles at a company this size that only ask for a high school diploma or GED plus some entry-level experience. The team builds and maintains customer-facing systems for Southwest. One catch: they cannot sponsor work visas.
Level: Early career (master's + 1 year)
Location: San Jose, CA (hybrid)
Pay: $149K-$198.5K/year
Why it made the list: This one is for master's grads with a year of Java and Spring experience. The pay is obviously great, but the useful part is the stack: microservices, SQL, distributed systems, and applications that run at PayPal's scale.

NEW GRAD / EARLY CAREER
Tapcart builds mobile shopping apps for Shopify brands. This role is for someone with 0-2 years who has actually built with OpenClaw, LangChain, AutoGPT, or another agent framework. Remote, $90K-$140K.
WellHive is a small healthcare software company, and this role sits between engineering and customer problems. Good fit if you like debugging messy systems more than building one tiny feature all quarter. Remote, $90K-$125K.
A remote graduate role at a very small healthcare team. They care about testing, getting to the root of bugs, and being able to work without much hand-holding. Probably more responsibility than the average first job. $76K-$95K.
INTERNSHIPS
Walleye is an investment firm, so expect fast-moving engineering work around data, trading systems, and internal tools. Open to December 2027-June 2028 grads. On-site in New York; pay is not listed.
Rendezvous Robotics is a tiny space startup working on software for satellites that dock and move objects in orbit. They want C/C++, Python, and basic networking knowledge. On-site in Golden, CO; pay is not listed.
Charles River Analytics does government and defense R&D. This is a hands-on testing role for students in CS, software engineering, HCI, or a related program. Hybrid in Cambridge, MA, $20-$30/hour.
APPLICATION MOVE OF THE DAY
Move the closest project to the top before applying: robotics for Rocket Lab, Java and Spring for PayPal, or an actual agent workflow for Tapcart.
Best of luck!
See you shortly,
