Hey everyone!

Hope Monday wasn't too painful and thanks for reading :)

Today's list is a little ridiculous. DoorDash opened an actual entry-level SWE role, SpaceX is hiring for Starlink, and DRW's internship pays $225,000 annualized.

There are also good internships at Ginkgo, Serval, Reliable Robotics, and Akuna. Basically, if you like software that touches robots, airplanes, satellites, or trading systems, today is your day.

Let's get into it!

TODAY'S DROP

5 new grad / early career

5 internships

Best companies: DoorDash, SpaceX, DRW, Ginkgo, Vast

APPLY FIRST

Level: New grad

Location: New York, NY / On site

Pay: $107,400-$158,000/yr

Why first: DoorDash wants Fall 2025 through Summer 2026 grads with no more than two years of full-time experience. You do need two previous SWE internships, but if you have them, this is a very solid product engineering role across the apps and backend systems used by customers, drivers, and restaurants.

Level: Early career

Location: Redmond, WA / On site

Pay: $125,000-$145,000/yr

Why first: This team writes the ground and flight software used to monitor and control Starlink satellites. SpaceX asks for one year of experience, but internships count, so take a look if you have C++, Python, Linux, or distributed systems work. The usual space-industry work authorization rules apply.

Level: Internship

Location: Chicago, IL / On site

Pay: $225,000/yr annualized + bonus and housing

Why first: DRW gives interns a ten-week trading or risk project with the goal of putting it into production. They want C++, Python, or Java experience and December 2027 through June 2028 grads. The pay is obviously wild, and they provide housing too.

NEW GRAD / EARLY CAREER

Vast - Software Engineer I, Mission Software - Vast is building commercial space stations, and this team makes the web apps, APIs, and data pipelines behind them. A bachelor's is the only hard requirement; one year of school or internship experience is preferred. Long Beach, $111K-$157K.

Microchip Technology - Engineer I, Software - A proper new-grad embedded role working on precision timing systems. Coursework, projects, and internships all count. Best for C/C++ people who have taken a few EE classes. Santa Rosa, $70K-$143K.

Allstate - AI Product Engineer - Fully remote and open to people with up to three years of experience. This is less model training and more Copilot agents, Power Automate workflows, and internal AI tools. It makes the most sense if you already know Microsoft's stack. $80K-$137K.

INTERNSHIPS

Ginkgo Bioworks - Software Intern, Autonomous Lab - Ginkgo is building a lab where experiments are requested in code and carried out by robots. You would write Python protocols, device drivers, data pipelines, and parts of an LLM interface. No degree requirement. Emeryville, $37.7K-$53.5K annualized.

Serval - Software Engineer Intern - Serval builds AI agents that automate IT and help-desk work. You would work with the CTO and founding engineers on the backend services behind them. Open to December 2026 through 2028 grads. San Francisco, $11,000/month.

Reliable Robotics - Flight Software Engineering Intern, Fall 2026 - Reliable is automating aircraft, and this is C/C++ work on sensors, control systems, telemetry, simulations, and flight tests. You just need to be working toward a relevant degree and know C or C++. Mountain View, $120K annualized.

Akuna Capital - Platform Engineer Intern, Summer 2027 - A ten-week internship building Akuna's hybrid-cloud platform with Kubernetes, AWS, and infrastructure as code. You need a 3.5 major GPA and must graduate by August 2027. Chicago, $145K annualized.

Best of luck!
